This week we have been studying compound words as part of our phonics lesson. As the culminating activity the kids were able to create their own compound words. They also had to include a convincing reason why their compound word should be included in the dictionary. The kids presented their new words to the class, which resulted in a lot of fun and some great compliments for each other.
