As part of our social studies unit students were asked to create a map of a "dream " town. The kids needed to add a compass rose and map key. They were also asked to justify a business they added to a town by explaining what want or need the business provided. The class LOVED this project and begged for extra time to work on them. We enjoyed sharing them with the class. It was then requested as create a "huge" town combining all the maps. We did so on the bulletin board outside of our classroom.
