Science Projects

Last week we learned about different bodies of water and landforms found on Earth. Students were to create a model using dough (flour, salt and water.) The criteria for the model were:

     -must include 3 DIFFERENT landforms. We learned about mountains, valleys, canyons, plateaus, and plains.

     -must include a body of water. We learned about ocean, river, lake, stream, pond, and glacier.

Social Studies projects

As a culminating project in social studies the class worked in small groups to create a business that would benefit their community. First we brainstormed business ideas, then we worked in groups to plan the business deciding details such as what goods or services would be provided or sold. They also had to decide what costs might be associated with opening a business.

Robotics

For the past 2 weeks Mrs. Badalamenti has been teaching us about robotics! The kids and their partner have learned how to build and program legos using the WeDo computer program. She will visit us 2 more times after Thanksgiving break.
