JA Graduates

Wednesday we had a special visitor, Mr. Bahr, from Monsanto. He volunteered to be our JA in a Day teacher for the day! We learned about families, communities, wants and needs. The kids had a great time learning!
Below are pictures of the kids "graduating" from the program!

Famous American presentations

This week each student had the opportunity to share their famous American reports. They each opened their Google Doc, used the microphone and became teachers for the moment. The compliments they gave each other made each student feel special!

Writing Celebration and Time Lines!

Last week we all became published authors again! This time we edited and published our favorite review. The kids LOVED reading each others reviews and leaving compliments for their friends. When you read their pieces (in the hall) you'll notice all the compliments other children left your child. What a nice class we have!

This week we began writing our personal time lines. Monday we created a "museum" in 1A where kids could display and share their photos. I wish you could have heard the excitement and laugher in our room as we shared!
