Class Party

Today was our class compliment party. The kids voted on a "teacher's choice" party which all I told them was that I would surprise them.

Well today I did! I surprised them with a class picnic outside followed by chalk and bubbles for all! If you ever want your kids to enjoy life like 6 and 7 year olds should, give them bubbles! We loved every minute in the sun! As an added bonus each child is bringing home a bubble wand (unless they used all their bubbles :) and a box or bag of chalk (some of the boxes broke.)

I know the photos don't let you share the joy, but it's a small piece of happiness!

Words and pictures can't do this event justice. You could just feel the energy and excitement in first grade last week. Such a fun and rewarding opportunity for everyone. Many thanks to the family members were able to join us at the Shrinky Shop Friday. Also, thanks to Ayse and Eren and Yi Sun for the pictures!
