Panther Day!

 We LOVED every minute of Panther Day today! Special thanks to Coach Plogger and Coach Driscoll for all their hard work. And shout out to RSA for treating ALL the kids to Kona Ice today. Highlight of our week for sure!

 

 

Compound Words

This week we have been studying compound words as part of our phonics lesson. As the culminating activity the kids were able to create their own compound words. They also had to include a convincing reason why their compound word should be included in the dictionary. The kids presented their new words to the class, which resulted in a lot of fun and some great compliments for each other.

 

4th Quarter Learning Fun

 This week our focus in math is multiplication. We played a game called 'Spin and Multiply.' This helped us learn how to multiply by 5.

Last week we took advantage of the beautiful weather and took reader's workshop outside! Here we are getting ready to teach our reading partners about the non-fiction books we are reading.

We are practicing our 'extra brainy' work within non-fiction texts.
